We had a great time with Brent, Amy, Lewis and Fentress who visited us in Beaufort over the weekend.

Grandmom and Granddad visit!

Riding bikes
Jack learned to ride a bike without training wheels while Bob and Joy were in town, I took them off and he just took off without any help!

We took Bob and Joy on a horse carriage tour of Beaufort

Downtown Beaufort

We walked around downtown and got ice cream before taking the tour

Grandmom and Granddad got to see Jack play baseball, this is his first year.

They also got to see Caroline play softball, she made 4 runs!

We spent a wonderful long weekend with Bob and Joy. This was their first time to our home in Beaufort. We ran them like crazy between baseball games and touring Beaufort. We grilled out one night and enjoyed a great dinner at Dockside restuarant on the water the night before they left. We look forward to many more visits and hopefully next time will venture out further to Savannah or Charleston.

The kids were out of school for spring break the week of easter so we went to visit mom in TN. We fished and saw the horses at my brother's house, drove to Pigeon Forge for the day where Chris took the kids to Magic Quest(mom and I shopped of course). We took a short hike up Bald River Falls in Tellico Plains and had a picnic. My sister had us over for a cook out and we celebrated Caroline's birthday once again at the local mexican joint. Chris and I got a fun night out with friends as well and enjoyed a great visit from Brandi and little Parker. It was a whirlwind!

Caroline's 10th birthday

Opening presents
Happy birthday Caroline, it seems like only yesterday that I made you a bunny cake for your first birthday

Goofing off during the scavenger hunt

Pizza time

Chris decorated the guitar, the icing was supposed to be brown but had a greenish tint to it, no one seemed to mind

I can't believe Caroline is turning 10 on the 3rd! We celebrated by having another slumber party this year with a rock star theme. The girls started with a scavenger hunt, pizza, cake and presents. Afterwards, they made rock star bands, body art and tattoos along with makeovers.
Caroline got Just Dance for the Wii which was also a hit. In their treat bags I put super tacky pink tshirts with guitars on them I found at Walmart, I'm sure all the moms are thanking me for that! The girls seemed to have a great time and got along great, no drama or tears which is always a good thing when it comes to 10 year olds!
I'm so proud of my girl, growing up so fast, she is smart, polite and so good at everything she puts her mind to. I love you Caroline Fentress Sandlin!

Beaufort Twilight Run and Oyster Roast

And she's out
I want to run too

Waiting to start the race, I love how Jack is stretching

Beautiful day to run in the low country!

I did not take a picture but Governor Sanford(cheater) came and was standing less than 2 feet from us. One of his sons ran the 8k.

Caroline and her friend Sarah getting ready to run

Jack and his teacher, Ms. Jenna.

Riverview(Jack and Caroline's school) had a great fundraiser this weekend. Chris ran the 8k while I got stuck walking the 5k with Jack's kindergarten class! I did have fun even though I would be lying if I said I missed not running. We met Jack's teacher and several other kindergarten families to all walk together. Caroline also ran a fun run with some of her friends.

I guess its time to potty train when....

your baby changes her own diaper!
